MEET KELLYJ
AN ADVENTURER
Kelly was born in 1980 in a place called North Bay, Ontario, Canada. From there, she moved over 16 times and has had an opportunity to experience life in many different cities including, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Colorado Springs, Toronto, Oklahoma City, Vancouver, Calgary, Smithers, New York City, Tulsa, and Point Roberts. As an adventurer, she's been fortunate to explore extensive corners of the world through both work and play, but at the end of the day, she always just appreciates being able to be at home, especially on rainy days.
AN AIRLINE PILOT
Kelly currently flies the Boeing 737 for a major airline in the US. She's been flying for over 20 years, has about 9000 hours, and in addition to the B737, has operated Boeing 787s, Airbus A330s, A321s, A320s, CRJ700s, Beech 1900s, King Air 100s, Senecas, and Cessnas.
A COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER
Kelly sits on the Board of Directors for the British Columbia Aviation Council. She was Chair of the Youth Engagement Committee for three years, establishing several high-impact initiatives including BCAC's Mentorship Program, BCAC's Speakers Bureau, BCAC's Youth Learning Webinars + Hangar Hangouts, and the Blue Skies & Beyond Youth Newsletter. She is currently Chair of the Leadership Committee and is focusing on Mental Health and Wellness Awareness in Aviation. Kelly also previously served with her pilot union as an elected Vancouver Base Councillor for three years.
A LIFELONG LEARNER
Kelly completed her Master's degree in Leadership at Royal Roads University in 2019. In 2020, she became a certified Group Fitness Instructor and a Behaviour Change Specialist in 2021, through the American Council on Exercise. In 2023, she also became a certified Advanced NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback Trainer through the Zengar Institute. Kelly is currently completing the Certified Wellness Coach program through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and, in the coming years, plans to develop holistic neuro-wellness coaching programs and host NeuroYoga retreats.
A SMALL BUSINESS OWNER
Kelly owns and operates two small businesses in Canada, Root & Sky Supply Co., and NeuraVida Neurofeedback & Wellness.

A CREATOR
Kelly is an artist and creator at heart, passionate about connecting deeply with those around her and working with others to do big and small things in the world. She loves building websites, designing digital content and mapping systems to help people understand complex things. She's currently working on an animated version of her published piece, "Factors Affecting On-Time Performance," and has just finished writing her first book, The ABCs of Airplanes—you can order it here! (Kelly writes under the pen name of Kelly Von Keller, to avoid being confused with New York Times Best Selling author, Kelly Jamieson). Over the years, Kelly has developed wellness and resilience workshops, online courses, and continues to create both leadership and mentorship program content. She also loves playing guitar and piano, and writes her own music—but to be honest, none of her songs are very good.
A MOM
Kelly is a mom to two wild toddler boys who regularly drain her energy, but infinitely fill her heart. They are the loves of her life and constantly teach her valuable lessons she's never expecting. Together, they run a youTube channel called Little Trainspotters. If you happen to love trains, you should totally check it out.
